What Happened
The driveshaft in your Ram 1500 is like a long rod that connects the transmission to your wheels. In some 2018-2019 models, the joint where the driveshaft meets the yoke might not be welded properly, which could cause it to crack or break.
Risk if Unfixed
If the driveshaft breaks, it could fly off and become a road hazard, or you might lose power to your wheels, both of which could lead to a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the driveshaft with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, and it's free to do so.
