What Happened
The passenger airbag inflator in your vehicle is a critical component that inflates the airbag in front of you. It's designed to work properly in a crash, but some models may have a faulty inflator that can fail and explode.
Risk if Unfixed
If the inflator explodes, it could send sharp metal fragments flying and seriously injure or even kill the front seat passenger, driver, or other occupants in the vehicle.
Free Fix
Your Subaru dealer will replace the faulty airbag inflator with a safe one, free of charge. You'll receive a notice and should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
