What Happened
The passenger airbag in your Versa is a safety device that inflates to protect you in a crash. In certain 2007-2008 models, the airbag's propellant can break down over time, causing it to explode.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag inflator explodes, it could send sharp metal fragments flying into the passenger compartment, putting you and others at risk of serious injury or even death.
