What Happened
The brake booster in your vehicle helps your brakes feel lighter and easier to press. But in some 2017-2018 models of the Camry, Highlander, Sienna, Tacoma, and Lexus RX350, the part that makes the booster work might have been made incorrectly, which could cause a problem.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you could suddenly lose the power assist for your brakes. That means you'll have to press the brake pedal all the way down to slow the car, which could increase the risk of a crash.

How to Get This Fixed

Free Fix
Your Toyota or Lexus dealer will replace the faulty brake booster vacuum pump with a new one, at no cost to you. Just wait for the recall notice, and the repair will be done free of charge.
