What Happened
Your Audi's passenger side airbag is a critical safety feature that deploys in a crash to protect you. In some 2010-2011 models, the airbag's inflator can fail in extreme conditions, like high humidity and temperature changes, causing it to explode.

If the airbag inflator explodes, sharp metal pieces could fly towards you or other passengers, causing serious injury or even death.
