What Happened
Your 2018 Ford Mustang's digital instrument cluster may not show the gear position display or play the 'Key in Ignition' chime if you turn off the ignition while not in PARK.
Risk if Unfixed
If you exit your vehicle without engaging the parking brake, it could roll away and increase the risk of injury or a crash.
Free Fix
Ford will update the instrument cluster software for free, starting February 5, 2018. You can also contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332 or use their recall number 17C21.
