What Happened
The front driveshaft in your vehicle is like a long rod that connects your transmission to your wheels. In some 2017-2018 GMC Acadia and 2018 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models, this rod can break apart while driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the driveshaft breaks while driving, your vehicle could lose power and be harder to control, increasing the risk of a crash. If it breaks while parked on a hill without the brake engaged, your vehicle could roll away.
