What Happened
The driver's air bag in your Elantra or Sonata is designed to deploy in a crash to cushion the impact. In some 2017 models, the air bag might not inflate properly because of a small problem with the seal that holds it in place.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash and the air bag doesn't inflate fully, you could be at a higher risk of serious injury to your head or chest.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will replace the driver's air bag module with a new one that's designed to work properly, at no cost to you. You'll get a recall notice and should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
