ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING
What Happened
The brake fluid level sensor in your Highlander is the part that checks the brake fluid level. In certain 2016 models, the sensor might not be connected to the wiring, which means it can't do its job.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sensor can't detect low brake fluid, your brakes might not perform as well, making it harder to stop suddenly. This could increase your risk of being in a collision.
Free Fix
Your Toyota dealer will inspect the sensor and wire harness, and fix the connection if it's not there. This repair is free, and you'll get a notice when it's time to schedule the fix.
