AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE-INACTIVE
What Happened
The front air bag system in your Wrangler has a sensor that detects if you're in a crash. This sensor sends a signal to the system that deploys the airbags and seatbelts. But in some cases, the wiring between this sensor and the airbag controller can get pulled loose before it can send the signal.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag controller doesn't get the signal, your front airbags and seatbelts won't deploy in a crash. This could lead to serious injury in a severe collision.
Free Fix
Your Jeep dealer will fix the wiring and move the sensor to a safer location, free of charge. You should schedule this repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
