What Happened
The transmission control module is like a computer that tells your automatic transmission what to do. In some 2014-2015 Civic and Fit models, this computer might have a software glitch that could damage a critical part called the transmission drive pulley shaft.
Risk if Unfixed
If the transmission drive pulley shaft breaks, your vehicle may lose power or the front wheels could lock up while driving, making it harder to control the car and increasing the risk of a crash.
