What Happened
The side impact protection system in your MINI Cooper is designed to absorb and distribute the force of a collision to protect the people in the back seat. In some 2014-2015 models, this system doesn't meet safety standards.
Risk if Unfixed
If your MINI is involved in a side-impact crash, rear seat passengers could be at higher risk of injury due to inadequate protection.
Free Fix
Your MINI dealer will install additional safety material between the back seat and the car's body to improve protection, free of charge. You'll receive a notification, and you should schedule the repair.
