What Happened
The Head Protection System in your X5 is a safety feature that deploys airbags to protect you in a crash. In some 2014-2015 models, this system might not be properly connected to the airbag inflator.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash and the Head Protection System doesn't work as it should, the airbags might not inflate properly, which could lead to serious injury.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the entire Head Protection System with a new one, completely free of charge. You'll be notified when the repair is ready, and you should contact them to schedule it.
