Component
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE
What Happened
The connecting rod bolts in your engine hold the engine's internal parts together. In some of your 2014-2015 Accord and CR-V models, these bolts were tightened incorrectly, which could cause problems.
Risk if Unfixed
If the bolts fail, your engine could lose power and stall while driving, making it harder to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. There's also a chance that engine oil could leak onto hot parts, causing a fire.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will replace the entire engine short block with a new one, free of charge. You'll get a notification when the repair is ready, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
