What Happened
The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) in your Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango is a crucial part that helps power your engine. Inside the TIPM, there's a small relay that sends power to your fuel pump. In some 2012-2013 models, this relay can fail without warning.
Risk if Unfixed
If the relay fails, your vehicle could stall unexpectedly while driving, which increases the risk of a crash. This could happen at any speed, and you're more likely to lose control of your vehicle.
Free Fix
Your authorized dealer will replace the faulty relay with a new one that's outside the TIPM, at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you receive the recall notice.
