What Happened
The transmission control module in your MINI Cooper is the brain of the automatic transmission system. In some cases, the software for this module was updated incorrectly during maintenance, which could allow you to exit the vehicle without shifting into Park.
Risk if Unfixed
If you exit the vehicle without putting it in Park, the car could roll away. This increases the risk of injury to you and others nearby, and could also cause damage to property.
