Component
SUSPENSION:FRONT:CONTROL ARM:LOWER BALL JOINT
What Happened
The lower ball joint in your FJ Cruiser's front suspension is held in place by two bolts. In some vehicles with the 'Trail Teams Ultimate Edition' package, these bolts might not have been tightened properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the bolts come loose while driving, your front suspension components could separate from the steering knuckle or cross members. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Toyota dealer will inspect the bolts and retighten them to the right torque. If the bolts are missing, they'll install new ones – all at no cost to you.
