What Happened
Your vehicle's power steering system may have a problem with the hose and connections. Specifically, there's a chance that it might be too close to a metal bracket, which could cause damage over time.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you might experience increased steering effort, which could make it harder to control your vehicle, increasing the risk of an accident. In the worst case, it could also cause a fire if there's an ignition source like a hot engine or exhaust part nearby.
Free Fix
Mitsubishi will notify you and fix the issue for free. Dealers will check the power steering system to make sure it's not too close to the metal bracket. If it is, they'll replace the entire power steering tube assembly at no cost to you.
