What Happened
Your vehicle's inverter module, which helps control the hybrid system, may be damaged by high temperatures, causing the vehicle to lose power and only be able to drive a short distance.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your vehicle may shut down suddenly, increasing the risk of a crash, or it may enter a special mode that limits its ability to drive.
Free Fix
Toyota will update the software for free to prevent this problem, and if you've already experienced an inverter failure, the dealership will replace it for free, too.
