What Happened
The fuel hoses in your 2013 Escape are the tubes that carry gasoline from the engine to the tank. Unfortunately, some of these hoses might have been installed incorrectly after a previous repair, which could cause them to rub against other parts and leak fuel.
Risk if Unfixed
If the hoses leak fuel and there's an ignition source nearby, it could ignite the fuel and cause a fire. This is a serious situation that could lead to damage or even injury.

How to Get This Fixed

Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will check the fuel hoses in your Escape's engine compartment and replace them if necessary - free of charge. You'll get a notice in the mail in January 2014, and you should schedule the repair as soon as you receive it.
