What Happened
A critical part of your air bag system is the tear seam on your instrument panel. In some 2013 X3 models, this seam wasn't made correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash, your air bag might not work as it should. This could leave you more vulnerable to injury. Shrapnel from the air bag could also hit you or other passengers.
Free Fix
BMW will replace the faulty instrument panel for free. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible to ensure your safety.
