Toyota is recalling certain Toyota Tacoma Access Cab vehicles from 2005-2011 to replace or adjust seat belt screws that may loosen over time, potentially causing the seat belt pre-tensioner to detach.
RISK_ASSESSMENT
If the seat belt pre-tensioner detaches, it won't work properly in a severe crash, which could increase the risk of injury.
RESOLUTION_PROTOCOL
Toyota will notify you and inspect your seat belt assembly. If necessary, they'll replace the assembly or install new screws with a special sealant to keep them from coming loose again, all at no cost to you.
