What Happened
The cylinder head cup plug in your 2013 Escape's 1.6L engine is a small plug that keeps engine coolant from leaking out. But in some cases, this plug can come loose and spill coolant all over the engine.
Risk if Unfixed
If the coolant leaks and evaporates on the hot engine, it could catch fire, causing a serious engine compartment fire.
