What Happened
The passenger sensing system in your CTS is a part that helps the airbag deploy when a passenger is in the front seat. Over time, the mat under the seat may bend or break, causing the system to malfunction.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag doesn't deploy when it should, you or your passenger could be seriously hurt in a crash. The non-deployment of the airbag could increase the risk of injury or make it worse.
