What Happened
The wiring in your steering column controls the airbag in your vehicle. In some 2009 Dodge Journey, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Commander, and Wrangler models, the wiring might be mixed up.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash, the airbag may not inflate as it should, leaving you without the protection it's designed to provide, which could lead to serious injuries.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the wiring and replace the steering column control module at no cost to you. You should schedule this repair when you receive the recall notice.
