What Happened
The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system in your 2009 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid is what blows air through your defroster and vents. In some cases, this system might not work right and the blower could stop working.
Risk if Unfixed
If your windshield fogs up or frosts over, the air flow might not be strong enough to clear it. This could make it hard for you to see while driving, increasing the risk of a crash without any warning.
