What Happened
Your vehicle's fuel tank has a potential problem with a weld that can fail, causing issues with the fuel system.
Risk if Unfixed
If the weld fails, you might smell fuel, see the Check Engine light, or notice fuel leaking onto the ground, which could lead to a fire if there's an ignition source nearby.
Free Fix
You should take your vehicle to the dealership, where they will check the fuel tank's serial number to see if it's affected. If it is, they'll replace the fuel tank at no cost to you, and you'll be notified through a letter starting November 4, 2003.
