What Happened
The mid-frame cross member is a metal beam that connects the left side of your vehicle's frame. In a severe crash, it could tear and create a sharp edge that might puncture your fuel tank.

If your fuel tank is punctured in a crash, fuel could leak out and ignite, causing a fire.
