What Happened
The breather hose on your fuel tank has a clamp that holds it in place. In a severe crash, this clamp could break your fuel tank's nozzle, causing a potential leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If your fuel tank's nozzle breaks during a high-speed frontal crash, your vehicle could leak fuel, and if it rolls over, the risk of a fire or explosion increases.
Free Fix
Your authorized Toyota dealer will simply rotate the clamp to secure the breather hose properly — and this repair is free. You should schedule this fix as soon as you get the recall notice.
