What Happened
The fuel tank brush guard in your vehicle is a protective shield that keeps fuel lines safe. Unfortunately, it might not be strong enough to withstand a severe crash, which could cause a fuel leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If there's a fuel leak near an ignition source, the risk of a fire is very real. This could happen in the event of a severe crash, putting you and others at risk.
Free Fix
Your authorized dealer will either replace the vulnerable fuel tank brush guard with a more robust skid plate or reinforce the existing one with a bracket, all for free.
