What Happened
The fuel inlet check valve is a small part that helps control the flow of gasoline into your fuel tank. It could get stuck in the open position, allowing gas to spill out when you refuel.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel inlet check valve gets stuck, gasoline could leak out of the filler tube and ignite, causing a fire, which could lead to serious injury or property damage.
Free Fix
Your authorized dealer will inspect the fuel inlet check valve and replace the fuel tank assembly if it's faulty, all for free. You should contact your dealer to schedule the repair as soon as possible.
