What Happened
Your vehicle's passenger air bag inflator module might not have the right amount of generant, which is a critical part that helps fill the air bag. This could cause the air bag to not work properly or explode in a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash that triggers the air bag, a faulty inflator could explode and send sharp metal and plastic debris into the passenger area, causing severe injuries. Alternatively, the air bag might not inflate at all, leaving you more vulnerable to injury.
Free Fix
A free replacement of the passenger air bag module will be done by an authorized dealer. You should contact the dealership to schedule a service appointment and have the repair done.
