What Happened
The ignition lock in your vehicle has a small connector that holds your key in place. In some cases, this connector can come loose or fall out while driving, causing your key to disengage from the ignition.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your steering wheel lock could get stuck, making it difficult to turn the wheel. This could increase the risk of a crash, especially if you're driving at high speeds or in heavy traffic.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the ignition lock assembly and fix any loose or missing connector pins. If everything is secure, they'll add a ring clip to prevent the pins from coming loose in the future. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
