What Happened
The ABS module in your Ram ProMaster City is a computer that helps your brakes work smoothly and safely. In some 2020-2021 models, this module might be damaged, affecting your stopping power.

If this happens, you could lose some or all of your braking power, including automatic emergency braking. This could lead to a sudden loss of control and increase the risk of a crash without warning.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty ABS module with a new one, at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.

Your 2021 Ram ProMaster City or ProMaster vehicle has a potential issue with the seat belt automatic locking retractors, which might not work properly.
Risk if Unfixed

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021 Ram ProMaster City and Ram ProMaster vehicles. The seat belt automatic locking retractors may deactivate early, which can prevent the child restraint system from securing properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

What Happened
The turn signal lights in your Ram ProMaster City help other drivers know when you're planning to turn. Unfortunately, some 2019-2021 models have a problem where the lights might not flash at the correct rate, which can be a safety issue.
Risk if Unfixed
If the turn signal light doesn't change its flash rate, you might not realize it's not working properly. This could lead to confusion with other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will update the computer system that controls your lights with new software, free of charge. This should happen as soon as you receive the recall notice, which was mailed on October 28, 2021.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Ram ProMaster City vehicles. If one or both turn signal lights fail, the flashing rate may not change to warn the driver of the failure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
