Component
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:DC/DC CONVERTER
Manufacturer
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC
What Happened
The DC-DC converter is like a power adapter that helps your vehicle's systems work. It's a crucial part that keeps your car's accessories running, like lights and infotainment. In certain models, this converter can fail due to an electrical overload or a software glitch.
Risk if Unfixed
If the DC-DC converter fails, you could lose power to your vehicle's electrical systems, including the lights and engine. This means you might not be able to start your car or even move it. You could get stranded, especially in a dark or isolated area, which increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Land Rover dealer will update your vehicle's software to fix the issue, free of charge. You'll receive a notification letter, and once the final fix is ready, you'll be contacted again to schedule the repair. For now, you can call 800-637-6837 for more information.
