Component

POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Manufacturer
LAND ROVER NORTH AMERICA, INC.
What Happened
The automatic transmission in your vehicle is the part that helps your vehicle shift gears smoothly. Unfortunately, water can get into the transmission and cause problems, including a faulty park lock function.
Risk if Unfixed
If the park lock function fails, you could accidentally leave your vehicle in gear without realizing it, and it could roll away. This could lead to a crash or personal injury.
Free Fix
Your dealer will check the park lock function, reposition a tube that helps keep the transmission dry, and check the transmission fluid. If needed, they'll flush the fluid and replace it with new one – all at no cost to you.
