What Happened
Kia is recalling certain 2025 K4 and Sorento vehicles to replace engine connecting rod bolts that might not be properly tightened, which could cause your vehicle to lose power while driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you could lose control of your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Kia will replace the engine assembly for free, and you'll receive a letter from them in September 2025 with further instructions. You can also call Kia's customer service at 800-333-4542 or use recall code SC349 for more information.

Original — What Happened
Kia America, Inc. (Kia) is recalling certain 2025 K4 and Sorento vehicles. The connecting rod bolts in the engine may have been improperly tightened, which can cause a loss of drive power.

What Happened
Your vehicle has a software issue that might cause the instrument panel display to fail, which affects the speedometer, tire pressure, and warning lights.
Risk if Unfixed
This could increase your risk of a crash if you can't see important safety information.
Free Fix
Kia will update the instrument panel display software for free, either over the air or at a dealership, and you'll be notified by mail in March 2026.

Original — What Happened
Kia America, Inc. (Kia) is recalling certain 2025 Kia K4, 2025-2026 Sorento, Sorento Hybrid, Sorento Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV), 2026 Sportage, Sportage Hybrid, Sportage PHEV, K5, EV9, Carnival, and Carnival Hybrid vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, "Controls and Displays" and 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."
