What Happened
Your vehicle has a system that checks and warns you when your tires are low on air. But in certain 2024-2026 Jeep models, this system can malfunction and turn off its warning light, leaving you unaware of a potential problem.
Risk if Unfixed
If the TPMS fails to alert you to low tire pressure, you might not notice until it's too late. This could lead to a blowout, which can cause your vehicle to lose control and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Jeep dealer will update the computer system that controls the TPMS, so it works correctly — and this repair is free. You'll get a notification letter when it's time to schedule the update, and you can also check the NHTSA website to see if your vehicle is affected.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2024-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, 2025-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, 2026 Jeep Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Wagoneer L PHEV vehicles. Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."

Dealers will update the radio frequency hub software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 29, 2026. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 54D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 9, 2026.
