The forward collision avoidance system's camera is a critical safety feature that helps you avoid accidents. In some 2025-2026 Santa Cruz, Tucson, and Tucson Hybrid models, a software glitch could cause this camera to trigger the brakes without you pressing them.
Risk if Unfixed
If the system activates unexpectedly, your vehicle could suddenly brake on its own, which increases the risk of a crash. This could put you, your passengers, and other road users in danger.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will update the camera software to fix this issue, and the repair is completely free. You should schedule the update as soon as you receive your recall notice and follow the instructions provided.
