What Happened
Your Ioniq 5 or 9 has special bolts holding its rear suspension in place. In some cases, these bolts can come loose and fall off, which is bad news.
Risk if Unfixed
If the bolts come loose, you could lose control of your vehicle while driving, which greatly increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will inspect the rear suspension bolts and replace them if necessary, and also check the vehicle's alignment, all at no cost to you. You'll get a recall notice in the mail, but you can also contact Hyundai at 1-855-371-9460 for more information.

Original — What Happened
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2025 Ioniq 5 and 2026 Ioniq 9 vehicles. The fasteners for the rear suspension may loosen and detach, which can result in a loss of vehicle control.

Original — Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the rear suspension fasteners and perform a rear vehicle alignment, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 17, 2026. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 303.
