What Happened
The headliner support bracket in your Elantra Touring is a small piece of metal attached to the roof of your car. It's designed to help keep the headliner in place during a side airbag deployment.
Risk if Unfixed
If the bracket comes loose in a crash, it could hit you or a passenger and cause a cut or laceration.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will apply special adhesive strips to the headliner to keep the bracket secure, and this repair is 100% free. You should schedule the fix as soon as you get the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2010-2012 Elantra Touring vehicles manufactured December 15, 2009, through May 7, 2012. The affected vehicles have a support bracket attached to the headliner that may become displaced during a side curtain airbag deployment.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
If the headliner support bracket makes contact with an occupant during a crash, it may cause a laceration injury.
Original — Remedy
Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will apply adhesive strips to the headliner, free of charge. The recall began on July 28, 2014. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-800-633-5151. Hyundai's number for this recall is 117.
