What Happened
A faulty hub unit is being recalled on certain 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota and 1999-2003 Dodge Durango vehicles. The hub unit may have a rotor pilot that's too long, which can cause the wheel to not seat properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wheel isn't seated properly, it can cause excessive vibration, brake noise, and difficulty removing the wheel. In the worst case, it could even cause the wheel to separate from the vehicle while driving, leading to a loss of control and potentially a crash.
Free Fix
You should contact SKF VSM North America's customer service at 1-800-644-8999 to schedule a free replacement of the defective hub unit.
