What Happened
The airbags in your vehicle are not programmed to work properly. Specifically, the right side roof-rail airbag may not deploy when it's supposed to.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash, you or a passenger in the right rear seat may not be protected, which could lead to serious injuries.
Free Fix
You'll need to take your vehicle to a GM dealership, where they'll update the computer system for free to ensure the airbags work as intended.

Original — What Happened
GENERAL MOTORS IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 CADILLAC SRX PASSENGER VEHICLES FOR FAILING TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO 208, "OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION." THE AIRBAGS ARE PROGRAMMED TO TURN OFF THE RIGHT SIDE ROOF-RAIL AIRBAG IF THE PASSENGER SENSING SYSTEM DETERMINES THAT THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER SEAT IS UNOCCUPIED.
