Component

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS

Manufacturer
GENERAL MOTORS CORP.
What Happened
The brake hose in your vehicle is a flexible tube that carries brake fluid to your front brakes. In certain limousine and hearse models, this hose can get damaged if it touches the wheel.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake hose gets damaged, you could lose brake fluid and pressure in half of your brake system. This would make your brake pedal feel lower than usual, and you'll need to brake earlier to stop, which increases the risk of a collision.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace both the right and left front brake hoses to prevent any future damage or problems. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
