What Happened
The rearview camera in your vehicle is a crucial safety tool that helps you see behind you when you're reversing. Unfortunately, the screen might not show a clear image in some 2024-2026 models, including your Buick or Chevrolet.
Risk if Unfixed
If the camera image is distorted or blank, you won't have a clear view of what's behind your vehicle. This could lead to a crash while reversing.

Your dealer will check and replace the rearview camera if it's not working properly – at no cost to you. Schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice and get a clear view behind your vehicle again.

Original — What Happened
General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2024-2025 Buick Envista, 2024-2026 Buick Encore GX, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and 2025 Chevrolet Trax vehicles. The rearview camera screen may display a distorted or blank image.

A rearview image that does not display correctly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 16, 2026. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300. GM's number for this recall is A262554900. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on August 20, 2026.
