COMMUNICATION: AUTO CRASH NOTIFICATION

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The emergency call system in your vehicle is a feature that notifies first responders in case of a serious crash. However, in some 2025 BMW models, this system has been accidentally turned off due to a software glitch.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a severe crash and the eCall system is deactivated, emergency responders might not be alerted to your location, which could delay help and increase the risk of injury.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will update the vehicle's software to fix the issue, and this service is free of charge. You'll receive a recall notice by mail on September 12, 2025, and you can also contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417 for more information.
