EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The brake light on your motorcycle is the light that alerts other drivers when you're stopping hard. In some 2020 and 2019 models, this light might flash instead of staying steady when you slam on the brakes.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake light flashes instead of staying steady, other drivers might think you're slowing down normally, not stopping hard. This could lead to a collision because they might not realize you're braking hard.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will update the brake light system to make sure it works correctly when you brake hard – and this repair is completely free. You'll get a notification from BMW with instructions on how to schedule the update.
