Component
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)
Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The integrated brake system in your vehicle is like a complex network of sensors and computers that helps your brakes work smoothly and prevent skidding. It's a crucial part of your vehicle's stability control systems, but it might malfunction in certain models and years.
Risk if Unfixed
If the integrated brake system fails, you could lose power brake assist, which means it'll take longer to stop your car. Or, the systems that help prevent skidding and keep you stable on the road might not work properly, making it harder to control your vehicle. Either way, this could increase your risk of being in a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealership will replace the faulty integrated brake system with a new one, free of charge. This repair is included, so you shouldn't pay a thing. Once you get the recall notice, schedule the repair as soon as you can to ensure your safety on the road.
