ENGINE Safety Recalls

Critical #21V339000 Plain English
Component

ENGINE

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The engine in your Audi is made up of many parts, including the cylinder bore. In some 2021 SQ7, RSQ8, RS7, RS6 AVANT, and SQ8 models, the cylinder bore can develop small cracks on its surface.
Risk if Unfixed
If the cylinder bore cracks, it could cause your engine to fail, leading to a stall or an oil leak. This could make it hard to control your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or even a fire.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the entire engine with a new one, completely free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice and follow the instructions in the letter.
