AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The airbag in front of the passenger seat uses a small canister to inflate quickly in a crash. In some 2005-2008 Audi A4, A6, S4, and S6 models, this canister could leak over time due to high humidity and temperature changes, causing it to burst and send sharp metal fragments into the passenger area during a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag inflator ruptures in a crash, sharp metal pieces could fly towards the passenger and potentially cause serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty airbag inflator with a new, safe one at no charge to you. You'll be notified when the repair is ready, and it's essential to schedule the visit as soon as possible to ensure your safety.
